Geosoft has designed the VOXI Earth Modelling experience to operate seamlessly within the Oasis montaj exploration platform. This significantly reduces the complexity and cost of preparing your data, creating your models and interpreting the results.
Optimised performance:
To achieve the best possible performance, Geosoft has optimised its geophysical inversion algorithms so they can scale across large computer clusters. This allows you to create and run earth model inversions in real time - minutes rather than hours - to meet the time-sensitive deadlines of your exploration projects.
Harnessing the cloud:
Geosoft leverages the processing power of the Microsoft Azure cloud platform to run geophysical inversions in "real time" or scale resources to support large scale regional inversions. Since all of the processing is down in the cloud, you are free to work with and run other software on your local computer. Access the service from anywhere:
Since VOXI Earth Modelling is a software service you can use Geosoft Oasis montaj to access it from wherever you have a reasonable internet connection. The service scales to how much and how often you need to use it so you only pay for the services you need for your project.
Recommended hardware and software requirements for VOXI Earth Modelling
Oasis montaj 7.5
Oasis montaj 7.5 is required to access VOXI Earth Modelling.
Geosoft ID
A Geosoft ID is required to access VOXI Earth Modelling.
Operating System
Windows 7 SP1 (32-bit and 64-bit) - Recommended.
Windows Vista Business SP2 (32-bit and 64-bit).
Windows XP Service Pack 3 (32-bit) - Minimum requirement.
CPU
A Dual Core processor is recommended. An Intel Celeron processor is not recommended.
RAM
4-8 GB recommended, 1 GB minimum required.
Graphics
Nvidia Professional 256MB 3D (OpenGL 2.0) Graphics Card recommended.
Data Disk Space
Data disk space depends on the volume of project data to be processed and the printer driver you are using. We recommend 500 GB to 1 TB, minimum 50 GB.
Internet Access
A high speed internet connection (500 kbps) is recommended for VOXI Earth Modelling.
Internet Browser
To use the internet capabilities in Oasis montaj, you will need to install Internet Explorer 7.0 or later. This does not mean that you need to have Internet Explorer as your default browser; Oasis montaj uses the internet connection technology supplied in IE7.
